MEI’s flagship Major Events Summit, originally planned for 9/10 June 2020 at the Ricoh Arena in UK, is to be transformed into a ‘Virtual Summit’, re-scheduled for 7th and 8th July. It will be produced by Global Event Production and supported by some of the leading event technology members of the MEI network. The aim is to make the Summit a truly transformational experience and will not be simply a “work around – one off” replacement to this iconic annual gathering. To reach a more global community where travel has routinely been a challenge for Sports Rights Holders as well as expert suppliers, this approach will be embedded in all future Summits.
Invitations to every single significant sports and wider event organisers are being sent to offer them an opportunity to share their plans beyond the current, hopefully limited, disruptive period. The reaction so far has been very positive and we are confident that the trust in our ability to enhance knowledge transfer and the managed interface between event organisers and market experts will deliver everybody with a much valued experience and we will update you as plans evolve. See here for more context.
The two days will offer staggered timings to ensure that Asian and North American markets are not disadvantaged and content will be recorded and will be available for the remainder of the week. A networking App, ability to submit questions and a post event report will ensure that participants will have an information rich opportunity. If you would like to be involved in the Summit in any way, please email Andy Rice on arice@majoreventsint.com and detail how you feel you could enhance, contribute to or get involved in the event.
